Glass and Glazing
Glass & Glazing
Where glazing is a feature of the joinery products clients have numerous options about the glass they would like to be installed. Glass available includes: leaded, double glazed, toughened, acoustic, tinted, sandblasted, bevelled, soft edge, warm edge, pyro-guard, argon and patterned. All glass can be in the form of k-glass.
All glass supplied by Lymewood Architectural Joinery is compliant with Document L of the Building Regulations and have a u-value of less than 1.5, whereby there is an energy efficiency standard to be achieved in a building. Low E glass is installed as a standard in all Lymewood Architectural products. The purpose of this glass is that it is thermally insulating.
Lymewood Architectural Joinery is a supplier of Pilkington energiKare glass and Pilkington Activ glass.
Pilkington energiKare™ is different to standard double glazing as it works in two ways. It reduces the amount of heat lost through your windows and it also allows more heat (energy) from the sun in through the window.
Pilkington Activ is a self cleaning glass. The unique dual-action of the Pilkington Activ™ coating uses the forces of nature to help keep the glass free from organic dirt, giving you not only the practical benefit of less cleaning, but also clearer, better-looking windows.
Lymewood Architectural has the capacity to supply glass units to clients, all of which comply with BSI.
