.
Traditional
This type of window is usually found in older properties; the windows are flush fitted and are often found in conservation areas, listed buildings and historic properties. This window type can consist of full traditional with 3mm glass and traditional hardware (ie: wrought iron, antique hardware), or it can be a traditional look with modern glass technology with a "u" value of 1.2 and multipoint locking systems.
Stormproof
This type of window is a lipped system beyond the frame face which consists of modern glass technology and multipoint locks. Stormproof windows are commonly found in more modern properties. Glazing features include a "u" value of 1.2 (this is compliant with building regulations).
Sash
This type of window is found in dated properties, grade 1 listed buildings and in conservation areas. The window is designed to have traditional lead or cast weights which enables the sashesto run freely. The weights themselves hold the weight of the glass.
Mock Sash
This design is a stormproof casement which has sash joggles to give the look of a traditional sash window. A mock sash window has modern glass technology and features multipoint locking for additional security. No weights are involved in a mock sash window, a friction hinge is used and this is top hung.
